How might we support Wye participants in staying on top of the design process?
If we provide Jodie and Idelisse with delightful binders for all network planning-related materials, then they will always be on top of what’s happening, they will be able to find what they’re looking for when they need it, and they will feel empowered and emboldened to be more proactive.
Eden and Eugene will prepare Eco Binders for Jodie and Idelisse, as well as May, Sarita, Eveline, and Miya (design team members whom we’ll be seeing in person very soon). We’ll seed it with:
One-page description of where to find things
Previous meeting notes
Org logo + Wye participant stickers
Future content could include:
DIY Strategy / Culture kit
Worksheets for design conversations
We will continue to use digital tools to create and manage content, but we will make them printer-friendly, so that people can easily update their binders with content.
Count how often any of the participants either ask where content is or cannot find materials before meetings. Will want a baseline count and/or control group.
Track how often people say nice things about the binders, how often they carry them around, how often they’re writing in them.
Most people reacted positively to having a binder. Several people seemed to use them to help orient others (and sometimes themselves) on what was happening. One person was adding materials to the binder regularly.
There was definitely a visceral, emotional response to the binders (and stickers). However, portability and updating the binders regularly was an issue.
Focus our energies (for now) on a mobile-friendly website. Could potentially return to this experiment later.
